[chuuya pokes his head out the window long enough to take a look at that, pause...
and he could just shut the window again but no, here he is climbing out of it to just fall right down to the sidewalk, landing lightly on his feet like it's nothing.]
Seriously, Baren? I guess this is one way to do it...
[But regardless here's Baren, holding out his hands and shrugging. One cat jumps down to climb onto his hand now that his palm's up.
To him, it's just another day that ends in y.]
I dunno. It just happened again.
[That said some cats are a bit more skittish - at Chuuya's appearance some leave like they were always planning on doing that.... even though a bunch of them still stick around.
For unknown reasons past Baren's wild animal magnetism.]
[that's fine, honestly, he wouldn't get along with a skittish cat anyway... he wants something that'll pay attention to him. maybe it'd be rewarding to get one to trust him, but that's not what he's looking for in a first cat.
chuuya kneels down and offers a hand to the nearest cat, a tabby that sniffs at it and rubs against his fingers; his expression softens as he scratches it behind the ears.]
I'm a little jealous. Just don't tell anyone I ever said that, alright?
Regardless Baren tilts his head and occupies himself with rearranging the cats that are hanging onto him, piling them in his arms before moving to squat by Chuuya and deposit the cats on the ground to approach him. Take your pick, Chuuya. They're all pretty adorable, even though some of them are already trying to climb Baren again.]
[he glances up to baren with a small smile tugging at his mouth, though-- ah. there go the thought bubbles again. chuuya flushes at the name as he always does, but he's gotten somewhat used to it by now; instead of complaining aloud, he just huffs as he picks up a calico and sets it in his lap.
there's a thought bubble of his own: don't call me that if you might not keep me.]
[There's one bubble, in a flash: I still can't promise anything, so I can't.
Then the text is replaced immediately with Embarrassing...
But apparently they're doing this right out on the street. That's fine. Baren sits on the sidewalk too, picking up a white cat that reminds him of Vera and idly giving it a scratch before kissing the top of its head absent-mindedly.]

surrounded and covered in cats]
