but he also takes a moment to take in the view while he leans against baren; sure, gravity manipulation lets him climb as high up as he wants, he could see this any time, but... it's different, from here.]

[Baren hides nothing from his sister.... not really. She knows everything that goes on in his life, but that doesn't mean he wants her to get a peek at it all happening in real time.
But he'll accept Chuuya coming closer. There's snow dusting the edge of the balcony and it overlooks the city in all its twinkling Christmas lights. It's fairly picturesque, a sight that Baren indulges in happily when he can. Not that he's about to admit it, but it's something he's glad to share with Chuuya too.

So he wraps one arm around Chuuya's waist to keep him close, the other pulls out a small black envelope from his back pocket. He holds it up and waves it - ]

[ - in a neat little sing song before handing it over to Chuuya. It's nondescript and simple, compared to the ridiculous mountain of gifts he'd been given earlier from both twins.]
[chuuya takes the envelope, peering at it curiously before glancing back to baren.]

[not just because of that same mountain of gifts, but because being here would honestly be enough of one. if baren had said his gift was just being invited back into this space, he'd have accepted it easily enough.

[ - and given Baren's personality, if he thought the mountain of gag gifts was enough, he would've left it at that. He wasn't big on gifts even when they were dating the first time. The closest he got to consistency was sneaking an extra bottle of wine into Chuuya's apartment each time his birthday passed. Exchanging gifts romantically still doesn't suit him.
But when Chuuya opens up the envelope he'll find a simple swipe card - the same kind that Baren uses in the elevator to gain access to the penthouse.
He doesn't say anything more. He figures the key speaks for itself.]
[chuuya stares at the card in his hand for a few long moments, then glances up to baren, eyes still wide in disbelief. he's only been here a couple times, this is probably the most private place baren has, and he's trusting him with a key.]

[whatever words chuuya's searching for there, he never finds them. he just shakes his head and leans up to press an insistent kiss to baren's mouth, his free hand pulling him down to meet him partway.]
[Until Chuuya, this apartment had existed only for Baren and Okuni.
It was their agreement - that it's the place where they get to be themselves, no strings attached. Whether that meant chaos or calm, they didn't have to hide anything there. Baren is almost laughing when Chuuya pulls him down for a kiss and Baren meets him immediately, pressing a second, third, fourth kiss against Chuuya's lips.
When he pulls back, it's automatic how he tucks Chuuya's hair behind his ear.]

[he shouts that after baren, but then he realizes there's something on it already. chuuya wriggles his way out of the blanket and opens the present up-
and when baren returns he'll find chuuya already dressed in the kimono, chilling on his bed and waiting for him to get back.]

[And here's Baren, coming back in with his small mountain of gag gifts for Chuuya ranging from frilly aprons, a jack in the box, an assortment of ridiculous intimate accessories, and whatever else... and he's just gonna put them off to the side somewhere that they won't get in the way. Also arranged into a tidier display...
But then he'll roll his eyes when he catches Chuuya, closing the door behind him before going to join his boyfriend on the bed.]
